Edmund Crosby

Savannah, GA- Edmund Ed Crosby, 88, died January 6 at St Joseph-Candler Hospital in Savannah GA.
Mr. Crosby was born October 5, 1925 in Trenton NJ, and lived in Lumberton NJ, for most of his life before moving to Georgia.
Upon graduation from Trenton Central High School in 1943, Edmund entered the US Navy, where he served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. After the war, Edmund continued his service with the US Naval Reserve, at Willow Grove Naval Air Station, for another 9 years.
Mr. Crosby was retired from New Jersey Bell, and served as Scout Master of Troop 36 in Mount Holly for nearly 35 years. He was also a member of the Mount Holly Elks.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Lillian, of Rincon GA, his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Sally Crosby of Tabernacle NJ, a daughter and son-in-law, LeeAnn and Jay Scherbik of Rincon GA, grandsons Joshua and James Hancock-Crosby, and Matthew and Kyle Rocca. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Carol Crosby of Orlando FL, a sister-in-law, Angie Crosby, of Lake Wales FL, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held. Internment will take place at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Cemetery in Burlington County NJ.

Lil, Mark & Lee. Our deepest sympathies to you and your family. I knew Ed since my early days at NJ Bell and many years in Scout Troop 36 where he turned out dozens of Eagle Scouts including my son Joe. He and my other son Mike learned many good things from Bing. Those lessons carried on through their adulthood and they still recall the numerous fond memories of trips to Maine, NY State and others. A good man with a great legacy.

It was great to see them both and made me reminisce of all the back yard camp outs we had and things we shared growing up.
